Spend an afternoon biking the Duluth Lakewalk, or any of the numerous nature trails nearby like the Munger Trail. Discover the natural wonder of the lazy St. Louis River by kayak, or haul your fishing gear and a full cooler by canoe to find your own fishing spot.

PFDs, paddles, and all safety equipment are included with all SLMRV rentals.

Liberty Ship launches from the Spirit lake Ship yard.Our History

This place has a long history extending back to 1917, when it was a shipyard producing ships for the war effort. In 1959 it became a recreational marina, and now only two buildings remain from the old campus of over two dozen.
