DULUTH SHIP CANAL MARINE MUSEUM
Managed by the US Army Corps of Engineers, this is the top-attended marine museum on the Great Lakes. It features and offers a variety of exhibits and activities related to the commercial shipping on the upper lakes, the Duluth Ship Canal, and the Aerial Bridge.
Visitors can explore three authentic cabins and pilot houses from ships, a two-story steam engine, and numerous 50-scale models, all accompanied by engaging interactive exhibits. Ships of 1,000 feet length can be seen passing just 200 feet away from the museum. It remains open every day during the shipping season. Admission is always complimentary.
