Two and a half hours north of the Twin Cities of St. Paul and Minneapolis Minnesota, within five miles of downtown Duluth, Spirit Lake Marina & RV Park is a unique and inviting Northwoods destination like no other. Nestled in the woods, on the St. Louis River, upstream from the largest body of fresh water in the world: Lake Superior. Spirit Lake Marina & RV Park is within minutes of Jay Cooke State Park, the Willard Munger and Western Waterfront hiking/biking trails, half an hour from the famous North Shore of Lake Superior with its polished pebble beaches and towering basalt cliffs, and just over an hour away from the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness (BWCA). While vacationers from LA to New York and Dallas to Chicago swelter during the summer and fall months, northern Minnesota boasts some of the nicest weather in the nation.

Duluth, with a population below 100,000, offers a perfect blend of access and availability to city amenities such as shopping, hospitals, restaurants, and attractions - without big city traffic, pollution, and crime.

The five-mile Western Waterfront Trail, located within 500 ft of Spirit Lake Marina & RV, is surfaced with crushed limestone and follows the river’s bays past cattail marshes that are prime habitat for waterfowl and other wildlife.

The 70-mile Willard Munger State Trail is within 1/4 mile of Spirit Lake Marina & RV. Its frst 15 miles (uphill) through rock, cuts up to Jay Cooke State Park and Carlton, are perhaps the most scenic on any Minnesota bicycle trail.

Spirit Lake Marina & RV Park offers a unique waterfront setting for boating and recreational vehicle enthusiasts. The St. Louis River offers boating for every kind of casual recreational user, avid fishermen and big lake cruisers and sailing vessels. 100 boat slips with water and electric hook ups serving most types of watercrafts up to 45 feet long (we can actually take one or two sixty footers). 45 new lots with water and electric hook ups for most types of RV’s up to 45 feet long. Spirit Lake Marina & RV Park provides an excellent location as the starting point for trips on the water or over land to discover Northwoods recreation at its finest, to rejuvenate your spirit, and to relax.
